This past February, the Black History Month committee provided a reawakening of the African-American spirit through A Mahogany Renaissance, and we are excited and honored to bring you another year of amazing history. This upcoming year, we invite you to join us as we present to you the 34th Annual Black History Month Celebration at the University of Florida.
Through song, dance, fellowship and education, we hope to guide you along the path left by our ancestors. Within this showcase of the history--our history--we look to not only celebrate, but also experience the beauty of our inheritance.
This year's committee promises to work night and day to ensure that our history is adequately shared. We hope to not only highlight the gift of the African Diaspora but also capture the brilliance of Black culture in society today.
